Unkook

The quiet architecture
of cooking.

Unkook modular prep station, hardwood cutting board with magnetic stainless steel containers

A modular prep station for the home cook who treats prep as part of the craft.

Cooking starts before the stove.

Mise en place (French for "everything in its place") is the act of preparing everything before heat meets pan. Professionals build their workflow around it. At home, it's bowls from one drawer, a cutting board from another, ingredients scattered across the counter.

The setup takes longer than the cooking. The cleanup, even longer. The tools should make it easier, not harder.

One input. Two outputs. One station.

Every recipe starts the same way. Whole ingredients come in, the knife separates what you keep from what you don't, and everything gets scraped into place. Unkook gives this flow structure so you spend less time setting up and cleaning, and more time cooking.

Ingredients in
Whole ingredients arrive. One container holds what's next.
Cut & scrape
The board is your workspace, the scraper stays magnetically attached and within reach. Sweep prepped ingredients directly into containers.
Two outputs
Prepped ingredients go one way. Scraps go the other. Both have a place.

A 12×18" hardwood board. Stainless steel containers. Magnetic connection.

Configure for the recipe. Clear when you're done.

Magnetic dock
Containers click into place with magnets. Quick to attach, easy to release. One-hand operation. Rearrange for the recipe, configure for left- or right-handed use.

Smooth stainless steel
Nothing sticks. From herbs to garlic to raw meat, everything releases clean. Dishwasher safe. No staining, no odor retention.
The scraper
Made from ferrous stainless steel, the scraper attaches to the magnets in the board. Sits vertically, saves space, always within reach. Scrape left, scrape right, your flow.

Modular containers
Two sizes, 6" and 12", to match the 12×18" board. Attach what you need for the recipe, store the rest. Containers nest for compact storage.
1.25" thick hardwood (cherry, walnut, or maple)
Thick enough to never warp and gentle on your knife edge. A raised lip along the edge lets you scrape directly into containers with no spills. No plastic, no coatings.

What's in the box.

One 12×18" hardwood cutting board (1.25" thick), a set of stainless steel containers in 6" and 12" widths, one stainless steel scraper, and embedded magnets for docking. Replaces the cutting board, prep bowls, and scraps bowl you already use.
